Yadkin County Schools continue to work hard to provide an appropriate learning environment for all students. Yadkin County is based on a 12-school system: Eight elementary schools, Two Middle Schools and Two High Schools. Elementary schools consist of grades K-5, Middle Schools grades 6 – 8 and the High Schools are grades 9-12. The members of the Board of Education meet at 5:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Administrative Offices. The public is invited to attend.

Yadkin Center - Surry Community College
Established in 2003, the Center has grown to three buildings and over 55,000 square feet of instructional space. The Center offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs in Associate in Arts, Mechatronics, Machining, and Welding. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Central Sterile Processing, Notary, Truck Driving, High School Equivalency (HSE), Fire Fighter, and many other courses are available at this location. The Center is also home to Yadkin County Early College High School. The Yadkin Center is located on highway 601 in the heart of Yadkinville, with quick and easy access to US-421.
